🌴 Isa, son of Maryam

1. Maryam was a good and pure young woman who loved to pray to Allah. Allah chose her and made her better than the women of all the worlds.

2. One day, an angel came to her with news from Allah: you will have a pure baby boy. Maryam was surprised: how, when no man has ever touched me? The angel said: it is easy for Allah.

3. Maryam went to a faraway place. When the baby was about to be born, she rested by the trunk of a palm tree. A voice told her: do not be sad, Allah has put a stream below you.

4. The voice said: shake the trunk of the palm tree toward you, and fresh, ripe dates will fall on you (Maryam 19:25). So Maryam ate, drank and felt comforted.

5. Maryam came back to her people carrying the baby, and they said hurtful things. She pointed to the baby. Then baby Isa (peace be upon him) spoke: I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet (Maryam 19:30).

6. When Isa grew up, Allah gave him amazing miracles. By Allah's permission, he made a bird out of clay that became a real bird, he healed the blind and the sick, and he brought the dead back to life.

7. Allah gave Isa a holy book called the Injil. Isa always told people: Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him alone. He was a servant and messenger of Allah.

8. Some people made a plan to kill Isa, but they did not kill him. Allah saved him and raised him up to Himself (An-Nisa 4:157-158). Allah is Mighty and Wise.
